This year Nate's work did their Christmas party at a movie theater (which we had to miss) so there was no opportunity to get pictures with Santa. We decided to try out the Mall Santa experience. When we got there, Santa was taking a break so we let the kids play for a bit. They had a blast.

Santa finally came back so we got in line. I wasn't sure how they were going to handle it but they actually did really well. They looked confused and reluctant but there were no tears, so I say it was a success!

After getting the Photo I felt bad for making my kids sit on some random "Santa's" lap...it kinds of weirded me out. I guess we'll see if I still feel the same way next year when picture time comes :) It's nice to have a Santa that we know at Nate's work; I was bummed when I learned we wouldn't get to see him this year. Oh well.

Afterwards, the kids got to indulge in a yummy treat! That may or may not have been a way of apologizing for the Santa lap sitting haha.

Most Sundays we get together with all the family at my in-laws house and play and have treats. Tonight we made Christmas cards for Grandma Shirley & Grandpa Ferrel and Grandma Nelson. The kids had so much fun and I'm sure the grandparents loved getting all the cards :)

This morning was our ward's Christmas breakfast, which Nate was partially in charge of being in the Sunday School Presidency. He has to work on Saturdays but he was able to come to this and go to work afterwards. It was a nice treat to have breakfast with him on a Saturday :)

They did a great job putting it together. There were coloring pages for the kids, a yummy breakfast and games afterwards. We all had a fun morning!

Happy 1st birthday to this sweet, spunky, hilarious little girl of ours. You bring so much joy to our family and we look forward to seeing who you grow up to be. It's crazy how much faster the times goes with your second child; it's even sadder. My little baby is turning into a toddler right before our eyes. It's so much fun to watch her personality come to light. Love you Cami-Lou!

This morning, Grandpa Gailey came over before work since he wasn't going to be able to come to her birthday party.

We skyped with Grandma...

And got ready for her party...

Papa, Susan, King and Tre skyped us during the party...

Everyone was so generous; she got lots of fun gifts and cute clothes.

Then it was time for a cake smashing! She wasn't quite sure about it so Dad had to help her taste it.

Then she was over it. Surprisingly she didn't dig in like I would have thought, but I'm totally ok if she turns out not to be a sweets lover :) Soon after she was done, I turned around to see Gavin's face covered in frosting...thanks to Uncle Nate. Gavin definitely got him back. I guess they didn't want the SMASH cake to go to waste!

We sure love this little girl and are so happy she is part of our family! Happy Birthday!

Tonight we took our traditional Christmas drive through Layton Park's Christmas light display. It's such a neat setup. There is a road that goes through the park that you drive through super slow to look at all the lights through the park. We let the kids get out of their seats and sit on our laps. They love it and so do we :) My favorite part is the tunnel at the beginning.
