Daddy surprised us with a spontaneous breakfast out before work today. We went to one of our favorite breakfast places, Burger Stop. So fun :)

Tonight, Daddy took the kids and I to Cherry Hill for our first time! We invited the cousins, aunts and uncles and we all had a great time :)
Nate was so excited to take the kids here. The kids and I both loved it! I dont think we'll be able to make it back again this season but we look forward to next summer :)

Hello 7 month old Cambria!
This month you:
-took your first trip to AZ (first plane ride, first time out of state)
-met the rest of our Arizona family and friends
-started eating solids (sweet potato first, it went great)
-started crawling/pushing yourself backwards
-make a funny cough laugh
-started sitting up
-experienced fireworks for the first time and did pretty well
-roll from your belly to your back
-prefer technology (namely the phone) over toys you are given
-started trying a sippy cup
-still have no teeth yet

I absolutely LOVE having my two babies!
But, Nate's and my time together has dwindled down to nothing it seems. With his work days and hours plus two little kiddos (one being a nursing baby that wont take a bottle), there isn't much time for Date Nights anymore. SO, I got together with sisters-in-law and made a plan! :) We figured out a schedule that allows each couple one date night a month, and we each babysit once a month. Pretty exciting!
Tonight was our date night and Nate and I have decided to take turns planning our dates. Tonight we went to a restaurant I have been wanting to try forever! It's called Twigs. It's at Famington Station Park, which is a gorgeous new shopping and dining plaza about 15 minutes from us. I love it! I wish it was closer, I'd be there all the time. They even have an amazing playset for the kids and a huge water fountain and stuff!
We had such a great time, I am super excited to get to spend some time with this crazy awesome man of mine :)

Moroccan Beef
Sautéed beef tenders with a touch of Moroccan spices served with grilled focaccia points, gorgonzola fondue and balsamic glaze.
Crab Mac and Cheese
Fresh blue crab meat, shallots, smoked bacon, goat cheese, cheddar and
jack cheeses, in a garlic cream sauce baked with cavatappi pasta and
finished with tomato and chives.
Nate got this pizza that was their special today. It had blue cheese, pepperoni, chicken, barbeque sauce, some other things I cant remember...and yes, french fries. Surprisingly it was pretty good :)
And...probably my favorite thing, next to the Moroccan Beef was my (virgin) mojito. Instantly obsessed. Often times people that don't drink, but want a yummy drink will go for like a virgin daquari or something. I'm telling you, try a virgin mojito. Amazing!
Amd here's a picture of the bistro that I obviously didn't take..
We've had a pretty scary day today. One of those times as a parent where you have to act brave for your child, even though you feel like dying inside. When you have to hide your tears and pretend everything is okay so your child isn't scared. These times as a parent are no fun at all.
Our little boy woke up this morning unable to walk on his left leg. Each time he tried, he just collapsed to the floor. It was almost scarier that he wasn't crying or whining from pain- it was as if all of a sudden this was his new "normal." Like he just no longer had any control over his limb. It was just...there.
We rushed to the urgent care where we were told by the doctor there were many different possibilities of what was wrong, including hip dysplasia or one of several different diseases. Our hearts sank hearing that. After a few X-rays, the doctor is pretty sure it is Transient Synovitis, "a condition of inflammation in the hip joint. This condition can last anywhere from 7 days to several weeks."
The doctor told us it should go away soon and that it didn't, to come back for a follow up. I am so thankful to see that my boy is already walking almost completely normal again tonight. What a scary thing to experience. It kind of shakes up your world when something so dramatic seems to come out of left field. We are definitely counting our blessings!

Happy 4th of July!
This 4th of July was awesome because Nate's work decided to be closed for the day (they usually only close on Christmas and Thanksgiving.) So we got to all have a fun day together, plus Papa and Susan came to visit!
We all spent the day at home together and then went over to Nate's parents house for pizza, swimming and fireworks! We had a blast :)
Someone had the brilliant idea to put the blow up water slide into the pool.
(I'm thinking it was Nate?)

Happy 2nd Birthday Lanny!!!
Today our little man turned 2 and we couldn't be more excited for him!
He is growing up to be such an amazing little boy and we absolutely love
having him in our lives. Today we we just hung out and had some Lanny fun. He opened his gift from Grandma while they skyped, we played with chalk and the sprinklers and ended the night with some tickles!
Yesterday, however, we had Landon's water birthday party! It was so much fun!
We had so much fun and Landon loved it all! We are grateful for our loving families, both here and in AZ, that do so much for us and love us! Landon, and we, are so blessed!
Happy 2nd birthday baby boy!
